  • Keweenaw, Michigan produces the purest Copper specimens on Earth. The Copper Nuggets come out of the mine as pure copper specimens and do not even need to be refined for use. This particular sculpture was made by pouring a molten copper nugget into a bale of hay. As the Copper works its way through the hay it forms this unique shape. After it cools the hay is burned away and the copper is protected with a sealant to prevent oxidation.
